Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was made official yesterday, the device will go on sale in over 149 countries on the 25th of September. And now, Samsung has released a single 18 minute video that shows off the functionality of both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
Starting with the Galaxy Note 3, Samsung shows off some of the new features of the phone including the new Air Command feature that allows the user to hover the S Pen anywhere over the screen to see a menu of 5 functions that the user can select from. The Scrapbook feature also look useful as it allows you to merely circle content using the S Pen and save it to a scrapbook category. Even YouTube videos can be saved in this manner. Pen Windows is a useful feature that lets you use the pen to draw a window that becomes an application, like a calculator.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch connects to your phone via Bluetooth 4.0 and lets you make calls (using S Voice) and take them. It also has a camera that takes photos and captures video. Using the Gear Manager app, you can decide which face setting you want on your timepiece. It’s like having a few different watches in one and is a great companion for the Samsung Galaxy S4 or Samsung Galaxy Note 3
Samsung has introduced a comprehensive walkthrough video for their Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear devices. The YouTube video, which you can see below, is an 18-minute opus for the two devices, showing everything from software features to pairing. While it’s nice that Samsung took the time to produce such a nice video for potential buyers. It speaks to the breadth of functionality the phone and watch have, but could easily have been truncated and/or split into several videos.
The Galaxy Gear is a companion device that will work with another Galaxy device like the Galaxy Note 3. The video shows how easy it is to use the variety of features in the watch along with customisation offered by the Gear manager. If you’re planning to buy the Galaxy Note 3 or the Galaxy Gear or both, this is the video you shouldn’t miss.
